What kind of CPR do I need? There are two kinds of CPR: Healthcare Provider and Public (Heartsaver) CPR.

Professional Rescuer Level of CPR

(either AHA BLS for Healthcare providers or ARC Professional Rescuer)

If you respond to medical emergencies as part of your job, you most likely need Professional Rescuer CPR. Also, most hospitals, medical offices and EMS agencies require professional rescuer CPR.

LNA

NH: Based on an inquiry to the NH Board of Nursing, they do not specify what kind of CPR an LNA must have, but most healthcare facilities and nursing educational programs require a professional rescuer level of CPR (either AHA BLS for Healthcare providers or ARC Professional Rescuer) rather than public CPR (AHA Heartsaver CPR).
