Pediatric Advanced Life Support

The class will be adapted to the work environment and skills of the providers.

For doctors and dentists working in a medical or dental office, we'll focus on core skills and managing for the first ten minutes or so until EMS arrives to assume care.

For emergency room nurses and doctors and paramedics, we'll review the basics and focus on more advanced care scenarios based in the emergency department or in the field respectively.

This class will result in American Heart Association Certification in PALS.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
